Terms of Use

Plain-language terms. Last updated October 2026.

UniAbuja Life (“the game”) is a free, fan-made campus life game inspired by student life at the University of Abuja. It is not run by, endorsed by or affiliated with the University of Abuja. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (the operator may change this age). You can also play as a guest on one device without an account.

2. Your account

Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Usernames that impersonate other people, staff or the university are not allowed. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

3. Behaving online

The game has chat, friends and shared events. Do not harass, bully, threaten or spam anyone. Do not share hateful, sexual, illegal or private content, and do not share other people’s personal details. Use the ⚑ report button and the block option if someone upsets you. Moderators may delete messages, mute or ban accounts.

4. What you post, and other people’s work

Only post pictures, voice notes, music and writing that you made yourself or have the right to share. You keep the rights to what you post; by posting it you let the game show it to other players while it stays up. Do not post photos of other people without their permission.

If something in the game is your work and was posted without your permission (a picture, a song, a video, a design or a piece of writing), report it with the ⚑ button and choose “This is my work (copyright)”, or email us at uniabujalife.ads@gmail.com with where it is in the game, what it is, and how to reach you. We take it down as soon as we have checked it. Accounts that keep posting other people’s work can be banned.

5. Real money, hostels, admissions and scams

UniAbuja Life is a game. It is not a marketplace, an agent or a payment service, and nothing in it is an offer from the University of Abuja. Nobody on the game can legitimately sell you admission, a hostel space or bed, a change of course, exam results, grades, screening slots or any other school service. Do not use chat, UniGram, clubs, shops or adverts to offer, arrange or ask for any of these, or to collect real money in any way that is illegal or deceptive. Doing so can get your account banned and may be reported to the school and to the police.

If you choose to deal with another player, you do so at your own risk. Do not send money, an account number, a card detail, a password or an OTP to anyone you met in the game. Meet people in a public place, check hostel and admission matters only with the school’s official offices, and report anything suspicious with the ⚑ button or by email. We cannot recover money sent between people and are not responsible for it. Game coins, shares and everything else in the Invest app are game money only: they cannot be bought, sold or cashed out for real money, and anyone who offers you a real-money “crypto investment” in the game is a scammer. Messages in public channels are checked automatically for signs of scams, and moderators can remove them and the accounts behind them.

6. Fair play

Your game is saved from your device. Do not edit your save or use scripts to gain an unfair advantage in shared parts of the game (the SUG election, the leaderboard of players). We may reset or correct cheated progress.

7. Adverts on the grass

Anyone with an account can rent a plot of virtual grass on the map for a picture and a link. Adverts must be legal, honest and suitable for students: no scams, adult content, hate, or anything that breaks Nigerian law. The operator reviews every advert and can reject or remove it at any time. Prices are shown before you submit. An advert goes live only after payment is confirmed by the operator. If your advert is rejected, or we cannot put it live, you get a full refund. Once an advert is live, payments are not refunded, but you can email us to ask for it to be changed or taken down. Advertisers are responsible for the links they submit. Do not enter passwords or send money to strangers because of something you saw in the game.

8. No guarantees

The game is provided “as is”. It may be unavailable, change, or lose data. Please don’t rely on it for anything important. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses from using the game.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account and cloud save at any time in Phone → Settings → Account.
